The Star-Telegram reported yesterday, on the Poli-Tex blog, that 16 Tarrant County Republican clubs are organizing an event they say will help local Republicans meet and get familiar with candidates running for Kay Bailey Hutchison’s Senate seat. Organizers aren’t sure whether it will be a forum or debate-style meeting, but they are planning on inviting anyone who’s made their candidacy official.
“Republicans already in the race include Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst, former Dallas Mayor Tom Leppert, former state Solicitor General Ted Cruz and Railroad Commissioner Elizabeth Ames Jones. Retired Lt. Gen. Ricardo Sanchez is running as a Democrat,” wrote Aman Batheja for the blog. Read the whole story.
